About Benham Falls East Trailhead

Reviews of Benham Falls East Trailhead

This was a great little hike. The trail is easily navigatable. Dog, stroller, and child friendly. The falls themselves are more like steep Rapids, but they go on for a long time and it is beautiful. The surroundings are serene and the rushing water sounds are relaxing.

This was a beautiful, easy hike - 1 mile in and back. Very nice, wide trail. Good views of the water most the way. When you finally made it to the falls you need to scramble a little to get the best views but it was worth it. Met many couples and families of all ages on the trail. Strollers were making it ok. We didn't see a W/C. Some carried fishing poles. There were outhouses at the trailhead parking lot which was free. A boat launch was across from the parking lot, too. Didn't see any boats, but the water was slow enough and shallow that some kids were wading in it with parent supervision.

Very easy hike, little elevation gain. Many people on bikes, people with dogs, and people with strollers. They're not actually falls but more of rapids as seen in the pictures but they're still worth the half mile hike. Plus if you want to go even further you can see Dillon falls 3 miles past Benham which are very similar.

A nice scenic and low mileage hike for famimies with young ones. Really good view of class-5 rapids rapids which are pretty rare in oregon! Located about 10 minutes from both sunriver and bend!
