Reviews of High Desert Museum

Awesome place for all ages! The raptor show is absolutely amazing. A must do. Museum is excellent, the cafu00e9 for lunch is fine but you can bring your own lunch as it is allowed. During the summer they have actors that are part of the homestead area that talk about what their life is like in 1904 - very interactive and fun for kids.

The raptor show is definitely the highlight of the museum. It is absolutely astounding. Everything else is fine. Hopefully it will continue to grow and the place can add a few more exhibits or some kind of desert garden.

I was very impressed both with the vision and execution. It's truly a remarkable place that can begin as an attempt to bridge the divide between conservation and the public--resulting in an adult and kid friendly museum that is a celebration of all of N. America's high desert. The landscapes, flora, fauna, history, art, and people are all celebrated in this remarkable museum. It's extremely high quality and, frankly, a lot of fun.

One of the best local museums I've visited. Much expanded since I was there years ago. Great permanent Native American exhibit area and rotating temporary ones (was on WW II in the high desert when we were there).

The Birds of Prey show was fantastic. The museum is very well done, I should have given myself much more time than I did. If youenter within 2 hours of closing your ticket is good the next day as well.
