About Newport Avenue MarketNewport Avenue Market is dedicated to the Central Oregon community. We strongly believe that our success is reliant on the strength and success of the people we serve. Because of this, we continually strive to support the local economy and people through non-profit efforts. Since its conception nearly a decade ago, the Hunger Prevention Coalition of Central Oregon has remained one of our top priorities for our non-profit efforts. The Coalition uses 100% of the funds donated to provide truly nutritious foods to local families who find themselves unable to provide it on their own. This program is dear to Newport Avenue Market because food is the foundation for life (as well as our business) and, as we see it, a healthy community starts and ends with the strength of its people. If you would like to join us in supporting our community, here are some of the ways you can: Help Feed Empty Plates - Also at every check stand, you'll find our Help Feed Empty Plates coupons. To donate money to the Coalition, simple grab the coupon that fits and scan it with your other purchases. It's that easy and makes a big difference. While the Hunger Prevention Coalition of Central Oregon is one of our main focuses, we also generously support many other programs throughout the community; including: The United Way, Bend Metro Parks & Recreation, Summit High School, Mountain View High School, Bend High School, Bethlehem Inn, Family Kitchen, The Boys & Girls Club of Central Oregon, Bend Senior Center, Humane Society, Seven Peaks School, Highland School, High Lakes Elementary, Juniper Elementary, The Center Foundation, Cascade Academy, Healing Reins, Saving Grace, Stars (Students Today Aren't Ready For Sex), and The March Of Dimes.

Reviews of Newport Avenue Market
Fabulous produce! They also offer very unique gift and other nifty almost one of a kind items in the mid aisle and end cap areas. The store never felt crowded though even with the 5 pm crowd. This is a remarkable feat of placement and floor use. I have to travel out of my way to shop there but it is always such a joy to find that one unexpected item that I always come away with.

A great little local market that just happens to have everything you never knew you always wanted! Delicious and fresh food, check; a beer or wine to go with that, check; a sassy bowl with a hipster logo on it, done and done!nIt does get a bit pricey, but it's wildly convenient and the employees are helpful and friendly.

Great selection of hard to find groceries and, a very extensive selection of local products. The staff is very personable and happy to help whenever you need something. The beer and wine selection is also top notch.

I love to stop in and grab sushi when I don't have time to sit down in a restaurant. I think their sushi has always been fresh they're friendly and I like that you can buy many things made locally

This little market is a favorite among west side Bendites. It's branded itself as hip & local. With periodic events for wine tasting it can be a fun market to visit. The meat selection is good, I tend to think the vegetables look the same as what you find at a Safeway but sadly it doesn't seem as fresh. You could definitely shop for family meals here but you are going to have to pay for the vibes. Great beer selection though, and staff will make you feel like you are a true bend local when they remember your name.
